What a weird model for the line that's usually more shitty technicals than weird-science monsters.
Resistance has had silly things for a while, like huge hovercraft and giant underground drills, and a background flexible enough for a range of nonsense, but ultimately I'm sure it was firstly a business decision to maintain faction parity of model types since this thing is stretching.
Oh, I know about the other (baller) stuff, it's just that this one felt weied compared to the others. I guess they didn't want to make an extra large tank or a weaponized piece of massive mining equipment.
