this is still one of the most insane decisions for a localized game ad campaign i've ever seen, and this was an era of truly insane decisions re: game advertising

there's folks who like to say "oh, this wouldn't fly if they did this nowadays"
but i think this is one of those cases where i don't think it even flew back then
