It was popularised in 1989, in the aftermath of a brutal civil war between legendary Bean Magnates, Harold Heinz The Horrible and Billy "The Big Bean" Branston. The conflict, since immortalised in 1993 classic "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine", resulted in an unstoppable, cataclysmic, nationwide overproduction of beans, something Bean Experts at the time had deemed "imposible", "unthinkable" and "beyond all scientific reason".
