this was like, my first or second stab at actual real composing, which i completed back in ~march or so— i've known a decent amount of music theory since high school but never put it to practice until this year, when i got a digital piano keyboard and could practically compose stuff. a few notes on this for whoever's interested:
- i am most proud of like, the last 25-30 seconds
- the break section before the final chorus was originally supposed to have a sax solo over it! unfortunately, my saxophone skill has deteriorated a little and i decided not to test the limits of my neighbors' patience while building my embouchure back up enough to get a good recording. i would still like to at some point, though
- the structure of the song was based somewhat off the theme music to the podcast "triple click," which i really like
- it is not love honk but i could totally make a love honk cover version at some point
