i have spent literally all weekend since getting back cleaning my apt. every single closet i own has been reorganized, a bunch of stuff i don't use regularly i packed away and moved into my basement storage, i filled a whole bag of clothes to donate to goodwill/migrant shelters/local thrift. i know minimalism isn't, like, "cool" anymore but man, it feels insanely good to be starting a new year fresh and clean and literally physically lighter and less burdened by stuff

yeah!! lovely to hear you've been able to sort through your stuff and give away what you didn't want

also: hey, "minimalism" is just a style. the commodification of a nice set of values. i like how you're sticking to those values even though you know they're not "popular" rn. i think that's really cool!

thanks! haha idk if I'd even really call my values "minimalist" per se, really it's more just a desire to be thoughtful about what I own/use and not keep junk that's just bogging me down (bc I am totally the kind of person that if I exist in a messy space, it becomes reflected by a messy brain). but I totally get what you mean— it's good to be doing it for me and my needs as opposed to whatever's the aesthetic du jour!
