2. otherwise unusable corner of a brutalist building where the functionality of the 'staircase' has been deconstructed such that no-one can ever again get back there with a broom
3. almost empty movie theater
4. on the el at night, nose up against the glass so you can see fragments of views of the insides of apartments
5. in front of certain paintings
6. sitting in the cab of a backhoe, lit intermittently by the orange flash from a stack of tipped over sawhorses
