coming home on the pink line and the train pauses (waiting for signal clearance) for a bit. it's a packed full train car, people are anxious to get home, and someone on one end of the car yells out, "DOES ANYONE ELSE ON THIS TRAIN PLAY POKEMON GO?"
and suddenly there are several(!) people on the opposite end of the car going "Yeah!" "Yes!" "I do!'
so they take a few moments to figure out how to exchange info ("What's your ID?" "Is QR okay? "I can't scan your QR from over here, brother!" - remember this train car is packed to the gills with people) and presumably they get it done and then, idk, do a raid or something together (i haven't played pokego since the original zeitgeist back in 2016). but the whole thing is just so wholesome it's got the whole car kinda smiling, even the people who don't really have any idea what's going on. just incredible stuff, i needed something like this today
