I met a new friend at a coffee shop last week. It was the first time we met in person and they brought me "friendship flowers" (which, by itself, was extremely sweet!!)
but as we were about to leave, a very short french lady walked by me and saw me holding the bouquet of flowers. and she turned to me and said (imagine this in a very thick french accent): "oh, you are so pretty!" and I was so surprised I immediately said "what?" and she repeated, "you are so pretty. anyone gives you trouble? you come find me. I will defend you." and then she smiled at me and walked out the door. I will never forget her.
