Hands-down, the best thing about moving from California to Pittsburgh is the fireflies. There's tons of them for, like, two weeks in July. They don't look real; I don't have a better way of describing them, they just look like a 2-D effect was added in post but they're somehow in the actual world.

The second-best thing is the two weeks in March (coming soon!) when All The Flowers bloom and then wither. The third-best is the five days in October when the leaves are bright-ass orange.

People who move to California say they miss the seasons, and I always thought that was bullshit. And I still do, seasons are a bum deal. No one needs three months of sub-freezing temperature where it doesn't even snow. It's the transitions between seasons that are worthwhile.
