if you're a gallery owner, the only time your paintings/art should be on display is for last minute "ah crap the artist didn't bring enough stuff and there's no time to call someone else before the show opens" and even then, thats still on you for having shitty deadline/time management.
you should not be hosting ego shows, because you get a cut of the proceeds anyway. your gallery comes with a responsibility to your community to lift them up. if you also hog the spotlight, you're just a pitiful sad sack like elon musk over on twitter.
