gonna go on a limb and say, despite the meme of these sorts of citations, yea in casual conversation it's super useful to cite these sorts of sources. helps if you end up being wrong to point out where you were wrong to both yourself and other participants, without needing to fence things with "sorry if this is incorrect but," constantly
