thinking about how weird it is that audio synthesis took off as its own like. deal. but video synthesis (aka CGI) remains niche or derisive. whereas it was a big fuckin' deal when audio sampling came around, with everyone cranky and Having Opinions Loudly about it, but video sampling (that is, EDITING) was like... core to the medium's form.

(1) people do not listen, especially relisten, to their own podcasts after posting them; (2) podcasts are recorded in a fugue state; (3) to the extent they do remember, they respect their own kayfabe
has me hooting and hollering about the potential upcoming amca episode in two weeks;
already this week, a thing kept hidden (Hera's dad) had been spoiled by Austin way back in The Ryloth Arc, in reverse - "we get more of him when his daughter is a main character in rebels" - and everyone just.... forgor. or wasn't listening. or played along bc they knew?
anyhow they knew what happened on geonosis, but presently do not? about click-clack? Austin even calls it that they'll forget this. i love the podcast fugue state.
