I know some of my friends are afraid of Hell, or are afraid about their friends going to Hell. So let me address that.
-
Hell doesn't exist. Stop being afraid of it. God has better things to do than run a gulag. If you are accusing God of running a gulag, aren't you an anti-theist?
-
Even if Hell existed, who went there? According to Christian theology, not "bad people" - rather, non-Christians.
You know who wasn't a Christian? Newton, Einstein, Tesla... all people who wouldn't stop working wherever they went. Therefore, if Hell exists, it probably has better wifi than we do right now.
-
In Christian eschatology, Hell itself is to be thrown in the lake of fire. A lake has shores. Fire means plenty of energy. It can be terraformed. In an infinite amount of time, it is inevitable that it will be.
-
In short: Deus Nolens Exitus.
So, stop worrying about who's going to Hell and who isn't. Be there for your friends and your family and let theologians sort out the "why" and engineers sort out the "how" on this stuff.
