Picked this up on a whim after too much Company Of Heroes got me in a WW2 mood. Definitely good, can also definitely feel why people don't talk about it like they do Band Of Brothers. Something undefinable missing.

Fantastic prequel. Picks up right where Fury Road left off thematically. Painful, sorrowful mediations on the hollowness of violence. Also a right rip-snorting action thriller. I especially enjoyed Chris Hemsworth being a demented motherfucker
It's not like I hadn't heard about this going in, being a decade late and all, but finally watching it for the first time it's still striking to see how effortlessly this movie blends wide-eyed and absolute feminism with a riot of an action movie
There's a lot of moments where it's easy to see why this is one of the more famous Shounen action pieces - most frequently when focusing on the show's dynamite core cast. But a consistent failure to end arcs well holds it back from the truly elite.
