The story by Jane: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QBwTeS3c5v1CJYQys68wBECrexEh4I1yWWtWT93ilWM/edit?usp=sharing

Seek out Jane's stuff from the links in her document there, and support her, is the main call to action of this I'd say. Secondarily, I have reported the stolen cohost page, and if others find the document convincing after doing your own checking, maybe you will too. If @staff find it convincing, I don't doubt they'll want to do something to stop the profiteering off Jane's stolen work.

Oh I'm glad people are talking about it here, I wanted to post about it if nobody else did but I have next to no followers haha.

It really explains the sudden degradation in quality of the posts... I'm so mad it's at the expense of a trans woman.

The doc's got her links at the bottom, and someone else commented a direct link to her music. This is definitely more about "this woman is the one who deserves our attention on her creative work and our money in support" more than the "fuck that guy" part. I mean, fuck that guy, yeah, and not the fun way, but mostly let's support the victim and pay no attention to the scammer's stolen content mill anymore.

Regarding that last sentence: this really isn't @staff's responsibility by, like, any stretch of the imagination. All of these events took place before Cohost was even launched - before Cohost was even being worked on, in fact. Drew might be a rat and a shithead who muscled his creative collaborators out of a suddenly-lucrative project, but even by the way this is told it looks like he did so within the letter of the law, coercing a vulnerable person into signing away her legal claim to her creative work. It's also bad practice in general for the owners of a social media platform to make moderation decisions based on alleged events from callout posts. Also as far as I can tell Drew/dasharez0ne don't even really use Cohost at all, other than to occasionally say "follow on Bluesky"
