


here's a little CSS thing i've been working on: a CSS notepad window.
it is a (mostly) pixel-perfect representation of a Win98/2k application window.
it will probably look a bit off if your browser scaling is greater than 100%, or on non-Windows OS, as it uses Tahoma and Lucida Console for the window text.
unfortunately the scrollbar cannot be styled as it requires the use of CSS pseudo-elements.

i implemented this a a bunch of separate styles for borders, buttons, etc. so it should be relatively easy to adapt the template for any other windows program, should you want to do that.
here's some extra text to show that the textbox can be scrolled.
