listen. i'm growing as a streamer. i know the way forward to make this a career involves selling products for corporations. but i hate corpo advertising! i hate that i have to have ads on twitch to begin with. i don't want to personally sell my viewers disruptive services nobody asked for and vc-funded products nobody ever needed! or, twelve forfend, powdered energy drinks.

but i've been a furry for almost 20 years and i love it here!! recently i have teamed up with two furry music labels and it's got me wondering if i can instead sell my would-be ad space to creative critters who are making beautiful things and need to get eyes on their work. of course, i couldn't charge DarkFoxxo1992 the same as i'd charge Gatorade. but here's my main question for anybody reading this post.

if the rate were reasonable, (think in the $5-10 per spot range) would you pay a furry streamer with a furry audience to run an ad for you?

update: first of all, thank you all for sharing this post and your thoughts. the result after 6 hours seems to be a resounding yes with a couple of "my work isn't ready/suited for this". my first feature for indie label trickyStoop tonight was a huge success and i think i have what it takes to present someone else's work. let's see what happens. i want my stream to grow a little bigger. i want to make sure everybody gets their money's worth. but i feel that this is my path forward and i'm going to give it a shot, one way or another.

After my first game is out, I would definitely want to do this with game 2, so the answer is yes and I'd also seriously consider trying to sponsor something longer with furry streamers.
