I also enjoyed Rhea vs. Becky for what it was, I enjoyed the heck out of Drew vs. Seth, Profits/Lashley vs Testament was better than I expected, but yeah, Sami vs. GUNTHER was easy best match of both nights. Quality wise at least, Roman vs. Cody II was pure overbooked catharsis though.
i thought Rhea v Becky and Drew v Seth needed a little more connective tissue, but that's a common complaint i have about WWE matches so i think that's probably just down to my personal style preferences. Profits v Testament i think ended up being a fun clusterfuck by the end. Roman v Cody II was exactly what it needed to be imo. WWE still does spectacle better than anybody else and i'm really glad Cody finally got his big moment.
When I think back I kind of agree that while I liked Rhea vs Becky because I was invested, it was mostly kind of a serviceable match that did its job.
And for me, Drew vs Seth was way more about the payoff and story, so it could get by with being basic. It was setting up the theme of the main event--between the two world title scenes, everybody who lost was focused on something other than what was right in front of them. Also it was great misdirection for that main event
