"Jessica are you insane?!" Mathilda cried, grasping at the arm of her partner's flight suit. "That's an active warzone! They are FIREBOMBING the country side down there! I can't let you-"
Jessica pulls away from the girls grip, a somber look on her face as she turns towards her mech, the bright blue symbol of the United Systems Postal Service emblazoned on the side. "You know I have to go Mathilda. You know our creed. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail."
"Ugh! A hail of GUNFIRE isn't what it means! I can't let you go out there to die!" Tears welled up in the woman's eyes as Jessica strapped into the cockpit of her mech. "Please..."
As a large crate of medical supplies was being secured to the mech's back Jessica reached down with the mech's hand and gently wiped a tear from her love's face, giving her a soft smile. "Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep this mailwoman from delivering herself back to you."
The mech's cockpit hissed shut as the back of the drop ship swung open. Jessica turned back to Mathilda one last time, signing "I love you" with her mech's hands before diving out the back of the ship.

(YEAH HEY SO I DON'T WRITE ALOT, BUT I HOPE PEOPLE LIKE THIS, EVEN THOUGH I FEEL ITS KINDA CHEESEY?)
