it's a well-known fact locally that the powers of Magical Girl Sarah Sappho, protector of Seattle, run almost entirely on coffee. every barista in Cap Hill knows her, and whenever the sounds of her fighting evil drown out the KEXP-derived playlists in their coffee shops, they start frantically making espresso. everyone who's seen her fight has watched her down a 20oz cup full of espresso in a single gulp and throw the empty cup at the monster to distract it before she rushes in to kick it in its many-eyed face with her Doc Martens.
