I'm trying to find an official Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller receiver for PC, even willing to pay a bit more for one, but the market is flooded with so many Chinese knockoffs that it's impossible to find the official ones among them. And I know there are plenty of official ones out there because I've found several listings on eBay for ones that have sold even within the past few days. But because every search algorithm is terrible, there is no combination of words that will filter out the bootlegs, so I'm stuck just randomly searching at various intervals in the hopes that an official one accidentally shows up. But I have never had so much trouble finding an official product as I have with this thing. And they're not rare! And the ones I find sold listings for aren't even super expensive. There's just such an extreme amount of garbage that I have to get really lucky. So if anyone out there can point me in the direction of one, please do so. I will be eternally grateful. Because I'd rather tear my hair out trying to find this thing than spend money on a bootleg, wait for it to get all the way here from China, and pray that it actually works, or deal with the hassle of sending it back if it doesn't.
And like, don't get me wrong, there's plenty of cheap tech from China that works great. I've bought plenty in my day. I will probably continue to import stuff from there. But I have seen nothing but bad reviews of these particular products, aside from the random ones that work perfectly. And I don't have the time or money to play that game of chance.
