yknow how we have the phrase "go[es] the way of the dodo" to mean something that's become broadly irrelevant and no longer really exists? why don't we have a counterpart phrase "go[es] the way of the dildo" to mean something that's become incredibly popular, even ubiquitous, and is available in any sort of variety you'd like?
