in 2020 I was determined to start having my own garden. it went really well! but then I became insanely depressed and didn't touch the yard at all in 21 or 22. But this year it will be different πͺ Stevie, my dad, and my uncle helped me clean up all the overgrown weeds. I am still choosing to container plant everything because 1.) I already had the containers 2.) It makes weeding easier 3.) I actually don't know the quality of my soil
So far I have some flowers, a few herbs, and a couple tomato plants. I would still like to get a few more herbs and some peppers later on. I was going to wait until the end of the month for the tomatoes, just in case we get anymore frost. But, the lady at the greenhouse was showing me all her favorite tomatoes and kinda talked me into it lol. If we do happen to get some frost I can also run the containers down to the basement for the night (also an advantage of container planting).
So far for herbs I have lavender, rosemary, thyme, marjoram, pineapple mint, sage, and basil. Herbs are probably my favorite thing to grow! I love the way they smell, and I have so many uses for them. I still would like to pick up a few things (mostly chamomile and dill), but I have a great start!
