ordered a paper shredder. yes, it is mostly for the compost pile. there was a really good deal for an open box one, and we probably should be shredding some of junk mail anyways. I've collected almost all the leaves from the yard and it ended up being not as much as I expected it to be once I dumped it in the ecobin. I have been hoping to have the bin filled by the end of the summer so it can break down and hopefully be ready for next year's planting. I have it less than 1/4th of the way filled right now, so I definitely need more brown stuff to dump in there
