man I know sex education sucks, especially LGBT sex education. But holy shit! everyone! dental dams exist! look them up! they are a thing!! don't think you are safe from STDs when regular condoms don't apply to you. They can be used for rimming too to protect you from ecoli and other bacteria.
I was at Pride yesterday and there were tons of tables handing out condoms and lube, which is great! but not a single table had dental dams. I should have said something, but I was feeling nervous. I said something to a friend and he said to me he first learned about dental dams from a fanfiction where the author specifically mentioned they were using dental dams in the story because they just learned about them and were pissed that they never knew about them before.
