hm. I didn't sleep worth shit, I'll try my best to nap today, but I am feeling a little more hopeful if I'm being honest.
I was able to very easily disconnect a pipe in the sink so that the water 100% drains into a bucket. Is this ideal? No. Is it better than the water just flowing through the cabinet floor into the basement? Hell yeah.
This at least buys us a lot of time that we can wait to replace the pipe on our time. I have a feeling this will be an expensive replacement because we need to completely change out the trap type underneath, since uhhh apparently the type we have is now illegal.
Water heater actually seems to be working? The water is way hotter way quicker than what we were getting with our old heater.
What's going on is the front panel should have a light that shows the pilot light is on. The light is not staying on once the plumber takes his hand off the button and was getting an error code. I absolutely still should contact the manufacturer about my warranty, but we at least will have hot water in the meantime!
I also checked the water heater this morning and I don't notice any water on top of the heater from the dripping pipe above. I think??? the pipe might have been pressured from how much water was flowing through it to refill the tank. I still feel like this is something I should replace, and will when we have the gas valve replaced, but I feel a little more calm about it. I think it's smart to get it done soon rather than put it off since the pipe is right above the heater and may damage it if the leak becomes severe?
Last night I started to put some listings on Mercari. This was something I planned to try and do once we got more cleaning done. I thought having a yard sale/selling things online would be a good reward for myself for cleaning up, but since I could use the money now, it's better to just list things as I find them I think.
I also have had $5 of my check out into company stocks since I started working there. I actually kinda forgot I did this and then I suddenly remembered in the middle of the night that I got a letter last week letting me know how my stocks are going. I think I am going to check about cashing them in today.
I was really hurt and frustrated last night about having so many things suddenly go wrong at once after Stevie and I had a really eventful and happy day of cleaning. We finished deep cleaning all the shelving in the fridge, scrubbed down a really grubby kitchen wall, swept + mopped, vacuumed, and cleaned bedrooms some more. Bed rooms are a long term project, but we both are starting to see the light with them. My parents are helping. Mom gave me some money for cleaning supplies last night and she wants me to help her with going through some of her lesser used stuff that's cluttering up the living room this weekend.
