Today we attempted to replace our hot water heater. Our hot water heater was 20 years old, so several things needed to be replaced and updated. It was a very labor intensive job and the plumber was here 4-5 hours. When he went to light the pilot light, we found out the gas valve is faulty and needs to be replaced. This means I have to contact the warranty and have the plumber come back out to install it.

While installing he also noticed a pipe over the hot water heater that is begging to leak. The best time to replace it would be when he comes to install the gas valve, as we need to drain the hot water heater for it to be replaced anyways. But it is also in an odd spot and is a strange shape, so it will be another labor intensive job. I am imagining he will end up being here another 3 hours.

I truly am at my wits end. If you have been following me you have probably heard about how my last two months have been nothing but disaster after disaster. I do not have the money for this, nor do I know how to come up with the money for this. I currently only work part time and I am chronically ill. I do not believe I would be capable of taking a second job without putting my health at risk. I am scared and I don't know what to do next. Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Shares, donations, whatever, I appreciate it so much.

I contacted the water heater manufacturer today and thankfully the process went smoothly. They will be sending me a replacement part in the mail and it should be here sometime next week. This also buys me some more time to get money together. Please if you can, pop a donation. Every little bit adds up and I am very thankful for what I have gotten so far.
Thankfully right now we do have enough hot water to be able to bath, do dishes, laundry, and such. But since the gas valve is still clearly defective (indication light isn't lighting up, and it is giving us an error code), and it is under warranty, I very much want to make sure things are correctly installed. I also need to replace the dripping hot water pipe since it is right above the gas pipe for the water heater and I worry about it damaging the pipe overtime and potentially being a fire and health risk.

I am also open for tarot reading commissions through Kofi: My ko-fi commission page
And I am also selling a few things (mostly games and Pokemon trading cards right now) on Mercari: My Mercari shop
