wood fired ceramics can look a lot of different ways, from very light to very dark, vitrified (the glossy bits) or unvitrified (the matte bits). they can also be extremely uniform to extremely varied in all these categories. (in fact another favorite pot of mine is a much smaller, much darker, totally unvitrified pot). this is the pot i shared while talking about Eclectic in today's PALISADE ep
