John had no strong feelings about dogs, just about how he should be allowed to hit women. George thought it was morally right to leave dogs in hot cars but he never did it. Ringo doesn't believe in dogs or cars.
Original Paul, however? He locked dogs in hot cars for fun. William Shears Campbell, The New Paul, has taken a very pro-dog stance purely to undo the damage that man caused.
As a British person it is important that I correct the record on the rich and storied history of The Beatles lest people believe something ridiculous like "The Beatles never wrote a song about that!"
