Draculaura
Cohost's #1 Draculaura Stan

I figure this is probably the most ethical way to watch the fnaf movie besides pirating (which I also think is ethical btw). I also have the Mario Movie and Beetlejuice on hold, but they weren't ready to pick up today.

Watched Willy's Wonderland and Friday the 13 Part 1 the other day. Both of these movies I went into as blind as possible (mini reviews here are mostly spoiler free)

  • Willy's Wonderland: Fun. I knew Nic Cage was in it and he wallops on the animatronics, but that was it. The jump back and forth between a somewhat serious plot set up and then the sillies of the rest of the movie kept me interested the whole time. I did not find this movie scary at all, nor do I think most people would find it scary. I wish the animatronics were featured more prominently/had more of a story to them, as that was actually what I was watching the movie,,, but I think I might be an outlier there. 4/5 Would watch again around Halloween.
  • Friday the 13th: I knew what the plot twist of this movie was and that it takes place at a camp, but that was about it. I did kinda pull the "Man who has only seen Baby Movie" as I found myself comparing it a lot to Halloween. People die throughout the movie, but the pacing still feels very slow and most of the tense action happens in the last 15 minutes or so. 3/5. I was interested enough to want to see the second part, because I want to actual see Jason in slightly more action, but I don't think I would be the person to pick to watch this again, even for Halloween.

good picks....I love the mh movie it's still totally a kids movie but if I was 11 or something I would've gone insane over it. I love the Friday series but mostly the wilder later entries....I don't think they succeed as horror movies all that well. The first one is honestly one of my least favorites. I haven't seen dead like me or barbie. and fnaf movie....it's not terrible I have so many mixed feelings. so many.

I haven't seen this mh one yet! I think I have seen most, if not all of the g1 movies. Yeah they are a bit childish plot wise, but they are silly goofy fun. The library had some of the g1 movies. I borrow them sometime to rewatch.

Friday the 13th was my gf's pick. She actually apologized to me after xD "I didn't remember it being that slow". I think it's fine for what it is, just not something I would come back to.

I'm not a huge fnaf fan, not that I hate it, but not quite my thing. I had friends that were into it really early in the series, and I watched Wendigoon's series lore video. I don't have high any sort of expectations for it, besides getting to see the animatronics and Matt lol

then you'll probably like the mh movie and fnaf to be honest! the mh movie to me was like same genre but way better than I remember most of the g1 ones being....I'm more of an ex-fnaf fan myself, I was really into it when it first came out, then had a break, then came back right before the creator revealed how terrible he was, and since then it's been a hard cutoff. I still have a lot of nostalgia for the series and know way too much about it, but I don't enjoy it anymore. The movie I at least enjoyed parts of? and Friday 2 isn't that different from Friday 1 but I think it's marginally more interesting?

i think i watched that MH movie, i think it was really cute honestly and very fun. I recently watched Darling Dollz's video on the MH face off episode that came out before the live action MH movie and it made me appreciate some of the choices they made in the actual movie a little more lol.
Barbie was also fun but felt like it came out a decade+ too late if that makes sense. But I liked the sets and costumes a ton!!
Let me know if I should bother watching FNAF, I am on the fence!

i really liked Face Off and I remember watching the episode when it aired! Maybe I should go back and watch some backlog episodes of it bc i really like a lot of the character design choices that get made in different episodes

Okay I watched the thing about Face Off and the Movie. I actually kinda remember this show, but for whatever reason it didn't really catch my mom and me, so I for sure didn't know the MH episode happened.
And yeah, I think people want them to look more like actual monsters in the movies, but don't realize how quickly it can Look Bad.
I think sticking with simple designs where you are able to tell who is who enough is probably fine. Yeah, it could be better, but damn it sure could be a lot worse
