oh yeah.
i woke up in the middle of the night and read all of Baron The Cat Returns
I am not good with one shot mangas because I always end up thinking "Wow this was good, but it would have been better if it was expanded". Not that everything needs to be a whole series, but also sometimes the story and action ends up feeling rushed where splitting it up over two books would work better?
There are parts that were added to the movie, most likely for length, but also provided character development, that I did miss not seeing in the manga. It is hard to tell if I would have still felt the same way about the story feeling rushed if I had not seen the movie first.
Either way, it is still a simple and cute story and made for very nice middle of the night reading. :3 Mild spoilers if you haven't read the book seen the movie yet, but
When reading the part where Haru says goodbye to Yuki before leaving the cat world my cat jumped up on my lap and I 😭😭😭
