Yesterday Stevie and I watched My Neighbor Totoro, and the only other Studio Ghibli movie she had seen before was Spirited Away and I had to convince her that nothing bad was going to happen the whole movie
there is also a really enjoyable piece on the DVD. It's an excert from a documentary called "The Scenery of Ghibli" (or a very similar name) that is just a host visiting and showing the different real areas of Japan that are inspirational for the places of Ghibli films. It ended up being like almost half an hour long I think?? Way more than I expected it to be, but really neat to see!
DVDs are better than streaming for a lot of reasons, but especially because of the special features. Even new releases DVD seem to still be loaded with extra "making of" type clips and all that jazz
