i mean gastritis isn't life threatening or really something you can fix outside of maybe diet and meds
so Im wondering that's why the doctor didn't think it was anything to jump up and down about
I hate gastritis as a diagnosis because it's just the symptom!
"My stomach is inflamed and painful! What's wrong with it?"
"Hmm, looks inflamed. That's probably why it's painful. $1000 please."
On the other hand, it does point to a set of usually less bad conditions, so that's something. Hope it's an easy one to treat!
I kinda expected it to be gastritis so I'm not surprised. I am just glad it isn't something more serious at least.
He also wants me to up my fiber intake and suggested IBS (which i feel like is just another 'it is just a symptom' sort of thing) and that I might need to get a colonoscopy if BMs don't improve. Which, I was expecting to get the bottom examined too at some point, so I'm not too bothered if they want to do that. (As long as we do it this year now that I've hit my deductible lol)
