thinking about how it's kinda fucked up that devs just don't ever get credits in the tech industry for anything they work on. the only exception i can think of off the top of my head is video games, but even there i wouldn't be surprised if some people just get left out because their role wasn't "significant enough" or something. but like, webdev? lol, lmao. how many corpo-owned websites have you seen that have a list of names that worked on it anywhere on the site?

that's probably a looooooong list for some companies, though. and more than half of that list would be people that aren't at the company anymore.

Some games dont even have credits - namely live service games. My first 5 years in the industry were working on released games, and there were no credits.

There was defs the position that Live Service games are online for so long, and have so much turnover over time, that the full credits list would get too unwieldy. (idk if that was the decisive position tho)
