probably the single biggest quality-of-life improvement for me has been learning to be honest with people around me and learning how to speak what's on my mind without diminishing or couching my emotional truth. like, yeah, they might not like what i have to say but that's okay. in fact i find it often improves relationships even when they don't like what i have to say. it's wild
