kinda funny to me how my estradiol implants are a conversation starter even in explicitly trans spaces. it seems like such an uncommon method of doing hrt that everyone's like "wait, that's a thing???". the simple reality is that doctors will not prescribe injectables in australia for whatever reason, but there's a few that will do implants, and they're pretty much the next best thing. maybe even better - they're supposed to last about a year, maybe more, so its even more convenient.
