i'm working on the designs for a little Webbed Site Project i've had on the burner for a bit. i've got some ideas, but i'm getting stuck on the execution.

i'm looking for any resources on:

  1. glitch art techniques (not necessarily generative, more "take an existing image and edit it" type stuff)
  2. ornamental dingbat assets (like, the sorta stuff you'd see underlining headings and the sides of pages full of blackletter script), either pre-made ones or resources for producing my own

anything you can throw my way, or any signal boosting you can do for this chost would be hugely appreciated!

i find that if i keep telling myself something, even if i don't think it's true - i slowly start to not only believe it, but it becomes easier to work towards it. "i am a good person" "i go out looking like however i want because i dont care what other people think" "there are people out there who enjoy my company and want to be around me". taking self-deprecating thoughts and turning them on their head like this has really helped me get out of that loop.

i know it's easier said than done, but next time you catch yourself thinking mean thoughts about yourself - give it a try! if you can respond to " i look like shit" with "actually no, i look great!" enough times, you might slowly start to find it easier to accept. it's always worth a shot, right?
