since beating FF7 rebirth (i have to write something about it eventually!!!) i've been gradually listening through the enormous soundtrack album and taking note of some favorites...

one thing that completely took me by surprise is that there's two tracks written & arranged by none other than Keiki Kobayashi of Ace Combat fame ????

Custom Valkyrie & Prison Break are both extremely cool tracks & stand out in a really fun way.... i'm so psyched that he came on to do some guest tracks here?? what a cool surprise

How long was your playthrough btw ? I liked FF7 Remake a good bit but I don't knoe if I can stomach a super super long kinda good bit padded feeling game if FF7 Rebirth feels like that.

I have been listenting to the soundtrack for Project wingman lately and damn what a good soundtrack for a smaller team and small budget game.

To me it shows that for the Rebirth version of Valkyrie Kobayashi was the composer but someone else was the arranger. If you compare to the Remake Valkyrie which he both composed and arranged, I find the Rebirth one a bit muddier while the Remake one is VERY dynamic and full of punch. It's still peak though.

But yeah I'm happy he got to compose and arrange a new track on top of that. It's just one of the best track one the ost. That calm piano section that buildups is soooo good. He's just one the best to do it!
