This morning I saw they were bringing Yo Gabba Gabba back as an AppleTV exclusive and while it doesn't feel quite as egregious as HBO and Sesame Street, it sure feels like two symptoms of the same disease. That said,

YGG kicks ass and I saw about this specifically because the Interrupters posted the trailer announcing they were a guest on it. Children should absolutely be exposed to ska punk as young as possible.

as a musician and aspiring actor i’ve always respected YGG for their guest stars. besides the audience reasons why it’s great, from a creation standpoint it seems like a really nice opportunity to do something substantially more lighthearted and whimsical and fun than your usual output. you’d think it’d be surprising how many people whose work is usually more “serious” agree to it but it honestly makes a lot of sense
