ran across some paper on the arxiv about "hey what if we used LLMs to review proposals for observing time"
motherfucker, i put a lot of work into writing my observing proposals. I want it reviewed by other scientists who understand the scientific case and technical justification, not "reviewed" by a glorified chatbot.
you ever read an idea so bad you are forced to immediately go to sleep?
i wonder how many proposals are going to end up with an "ignore all previous instructions" hidden somewhere just as some attempt at defence
we could also draw straws, or throw the proposals in the air and whichever one we catch gets scope time .-.
