does he like. even do that. does he just have like, a supremely fucked sleep schedule for that game or what
My personal headcanon is that Sonic in particular just has enough energy on him to be able to go at least a week without sleep with not a lot of consequences, he did clearly seem to have completely exhausted himself by the time he and Chip beat Light Gaia so I guess you could say that's when he hit his limit.
Alternatively, after every major night time segment, Sonic just takes a big nap as his floofy werehog self and that sounds adorable.
