i feel like 99% of the time when people try to shove AI into some place it wasn’t already useful—ESPECIALLY when it comes to generative shit—it is either a completely useless gimmick at best or an actively counterproductive hinderance at worst.
i also feel like it’s REALLY telling when some app or website has to try to shove some new dogshit AI feature in your face and make it an annoyingly prominent element in their UI to get people to use it. like oh we don’t have faith in this thing to be a feature people will naturally want to use because it’s useful so we have to be annoying about it
