yknow i do really like the idea of cereal being sweet soup. it ties into the consistent observation i’ve been having that things that work with a savory flavor profile seem to ALWAYS work exactly as well with a sweet one instead, and vice versa. like think about it. dessert pies, pot/shepherd’s pies, cereal and soup, i couldn’t think of more examples in the months this sat in my drafts but do you get it?

my sister regularly likes to sing "reese's puffs reese's puffs! heat em up heat em up heat em up!" to cause psychic damage to me. idk if that's a soup or a hot chocolate though
OH GOD. i guess if they’re still solid then it’d be a soup?? this sounds strangely alluring though… think there’s something to it.
Here’s another example: grits/gruel/oats/porridge type things can definitely go savory or sweet.

I mean I can cover steak in a sweet sauce sure but that’s not exactly the sweet counterpart because it’s still also savory
