Looking to get into the newsletter-writing game. What's the best newsletter-writing/sending software out there right now? For emails

I've started to cultivate an absolute distaste for all forms of social media. It's nothing personal, I just realized that it's entirely within my power to never see a post again and that revelation was so completely intoxicating it's taken over my life

I switched from MailChimp to Buttondown bc of MailChimp's AI bullshit. It's…fine. I personally don't really like it because I'm learning that I despise markdown for this kind of thing and Buttondown doesn't really work for what I need to use it for (I sell products, most Buttondowners I've seen do writing newsletters) even when I switch to the raw html editor, BUT that's probably just me having a fucked up mix of computer skills, a lot of people like it.

I want to start looking into Ghost instead but what I've seen makes me worried that it might be even more tech-heavy.

I think I've come to accept that there's a ephemerality and lack of physicality of online now. It's the telegram poles, it isn't the meetup arranged over the telegram poles, it's not the call for submissions communicated over the telegram poles.
