cohost was a success. i don't give a shit about the off-site numbskulls trying to stunt on its grave because the culture of cohost rejected their antisocial bullshit wholecloth. we didn't just exist together, we thrived together. so many users i've seen offering posts about how much this site means to them, so many saying this site was therapeutic, so many users saying they'd rather not re-immerse themselves in the wider internet and would rather just get outside more or pick their hobbies up more.

people are so fed up with the rest of the internet that without cohost, they'd rather go outside.

that, in my opinion, is a resounding fucking success.

I'm trying to take cohost's closure as a sort of call to action, a challenge. a challenge to chase the very same magic that led me to cohost, to find new spaces for myself in and out of the internet. it can feel like everything is lost but I know there's magic still out there. and I'll be chasing it for as long as I live
