you move through the sky
at unfathomable speeds
barreling through the universe
at hundreds of thousands of
miles per hour
and so do i

and yet

you seem so still in the sky
this super-highspeed movement
utterly infinitesimal

changes apparent with your phases,
minutes passing as you and your sister circle me,
imperceptible to my eye as it happens

these magnificent, huge, glorious things
they happen at utterly different magnitudes between us
we may as well live in different universes

i am to you what an ant is to me
and all of humanity an ant colony
