Someone decided that every software engineer/agile coach/product manager in my current workplace should have an AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. Initially I found it a bit silly since I have been working with AWS and Cloud technologies a bit over 6 years. But since I didn't have to pay anything, I had a rethink and said to myself. Why not.

So I went took the test and PASS.

I honestly thought I would feel a little bit more excited. It didn't even feel like a burden was lifted. It was as pointless as I thought it would be.

But I had an exciting day. I had 2 train cancellations, and a major delay. Took me over 3 hours to go to the exam centre. Possibly due to the strikes, which I don't mind because I totally understand the reason behind them.

I finally arrived at the last minute in the exam centre and the lady there allowed me to take the exams, even if I was slightly late.

I had a nice walk afterwards and I bought a hat.

It's time for another late night release. I know that with CI/CD you are supposed to trigger a release at any time of the day. But from my experience in a really busy API, until the connections are drained from the running container and automatically balanced on the new instance sometimes it can take up to 10 minutes. The uncertainty kills me.
