I'll be honest I'm still a bit confused by image embeds in Cohost, this is the only way I know how to do it while still putting text above the image :(
that gives me a "This content is no longer available." message. I think discord has started rolling out the thing where urls without recent-enough signed timestamps get rejected
as for image embeds, it's a bit hacky but atm the best solution is:
- new post, attach the images normally
- save the post as a draft
- go to your drafts page, click the image open, copy image URL
- make an inline image like you'd've done with a hotlink
