I spilled a bit of jam on my laptop keyboard because I am a filthy gremlin. No worries! I have a Framework, should be easy to disassemble.

Well, not quite. There are approximately one billion screws, and as you can see above, some of them are pretty fragile. a diagram with a bunch of tiny screws labelled on it

whoops.

if you can get them out again, finding the machine screw size and buying like… the nice ones from McMaster is super worth. I started just replacing the screws that came with eurorack modules with ones I bought from the local hardware store and they basically stopped stripping.

you might want to get the Xiaomi precision screwdriver set from somewhere… the tips are supposed to be good steel, which does a lot for preventing slip

also a method of last resort if you have replacements but cannot extract; a tiny dab (like applied with a needle) of some acetone (Or isopropyl, if you are cagey about it) soluble glue into the stripped phillips slot, holding a screwdriver upright in the slot until it has set and slowly extracting the screw, then acetoning the glue away tends to work well, even if it is a bit time consuming
