I modeled a 2600 gray meanie as part of a project of making all my music gear, to use in videos. this is just that model tiled into infinity

For people not familliar with the 2600, it was the synth on edger winter's frankenstien, The Who's Baba O'Riley, was used extensively by Depsh Mode, and is the voice of R2D2. It was a very common synth of its era, used by many other artists as well.

The original ARP 2600 was designed as a competitor to the MiniMoog, but had a more flexible architecture, essentially being a fully modular synth, but with normalled connection, instead of the mostly fixed routing like the MiniMoog.

The flexible architecture gave the 2600 a wide range of sonic possibilities, and it is often heard as the second synth on a track, providing percussive, atmospheric, or experimental sounds. This flexibility also contributed to its extensive use in film sound design
